For more than 12 years, DeVos Children’s Hospital has cared for children and their families with compassion, excellence and innovation. As the largest hospital in West Michigan dedicated entirely to children, we care for more acutely ill and injured children than the majority of hospitals nationwide. Still, the demand for our services continues to grow each year as we serve children in 37 counties throughout Michigan and beyond. It’s time to take our children’s hospital to a new level by bringing all of our pediatric services together in an environment created specifically for children and their families.

As our community continues to grow, our health care capabilities must grow as well to keep up with the demand for services and medical advances. Through giving to the DeVos Children’s Hospital Foundation, donors support programs dedicated to saving lives and advancing the health and well-being of children, through philanthropy.

The Grand Horizons Foundation, a 501(c)3 charitable organization is a unique organization established to give disadvantaged children a very special experience: a week at a Christian camp.

As the only organization in West Michigan designed to provide scholarships solely for this purpose, Grand Horizon Foundation gives children opportunities they might not otherwise have—to be in an entirely new environment where they can have fun outdoors, learn leadership skills, test their potential and build positive relationships that will have a lasting impact on their lives. The many benefits and blessings that they receive by spending time at an interdenominational Christian camp is sure to be rewarding.

Grand Horizons Foundation awards camp scholarships to children from DeVos Children’s Hospital and many other local organizations. The goal is to send children to camp for a week to get away from the challenges in their life. This could be a child that suffered an injury or illness and is now doing well enough to go back to being a kid instead of visiting the hospital. Or a sibling that has been surrounded by illness in their family and needs a break from all the medical talk and appointments.

Representing Hanna Kelly, proceeds raised through One More Day For Kids will be donated to Grand Horizons Foundation for the sole purpose of financing camp scholarships for children from the DeVos Children’s Hospital network.
